Is TryDocsy Safe?

Yes — TryDocsy is safe. Every tool runs entirely inside your web browser, so your files never upload to a server, are never stored, and are never seen by us. This page explains exactly how that works — and how you can verify it yourself.

How TryDocsy Protects Your Files

Our security model has one core idea: if a file never leaves your device, it can never be leaked, logged, or retained. Everything below follows from that.

No upload, ever

Your files are processed on your device. They are never sent to, stored on, or seen by a server.

Works offline

Tools keep running in airplane mode after the first visit — proof that nothing is being uploaded.

We can't see your files

Because processing is local, the contents of your documents are never visible to us or anyone else.

No account required

No email, no sign-up, no tracking profile. Open a tool and start — anonymously.

HTTPS + strict CSP

The whole site is served over encrypted HTTPS with HSTS and a strict Content Security Policy.

Verifiable, not just claimed

You don't have to take our word for it — check the Network tab or go offline and watch it still work.

Does TryDocsy upload my files?

No. Most online PDF and image tools upload your document to their servers, process it there, and send it back. For the few seconds (or longer) that your file sits on a machine you don't control, it can be logged, cached, or retained. TryDocsy works differently: the processing code is downloaded to your browser once, and from then on your files are handled locally using standard browser technology — the Canvas API, the File API, Web Workers, and WebAssembly.

The result is simple and verifiable: your file never makes a network request. Here are three ways to confirm it in under a minute:

1

Open the Network tab

Press F12 (or right-click → Inspect) and open the Network tab before you pick a file. You'll see no file ever leaves in an upload request.

2

Switch to airplane mode

Disconnect from the internet, then compress or merge a PDF. It still works — because the tool runs entirely on your machine.

3

Watch the address bar

Processing finishes in an instant with no upload/download progress bar, because there is no round-trip to a server.

TryDocsy vs. typical upload-based tools

The difference between a private tool and a risky one is where the work happens. Here is how TryDocsycompares to a typical cloud-based converter.

What data do we collect?

We never collect, read, or store the contents of your files — that is technically impossible in our model, because the files stay on your device. We do use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics) to count anonymous page views and learn which tools people find useful. That measures pages, not your documents. There is no account, no email requirement, and no advertising profile built from your files.

On the transport side, the entire site is served over encrypted HTTPS with HSTS and locked down with a strict Content Security Policy, so the page can only load resources from sources we explicitly trust. For the full legal detail, see our Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is TryDocsy safe to use?

Yes. TryDocsy is safe because every tool runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript. Your files are read, processed, and saved on your own device — they are never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by any server. There is no account to create and no file ever leaves your computer or phone.

Does TryDocsy upload my files to a server?

No. Unlike most online PDF and image tools, TryDocsy never uploads your files. All processing happens locally with browser APIs (Canvas, File, Web Workers, WebAssembly). You can verify this yourself: open your browser's Network tab before using a tool, or switch your device to airplane mode — the tools still work because nothing is being sent anywhere.

What data does TryDocsy collect?

TryDocsy never collects, reads, or stores the contents of your files. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Google Analytics) to count anonymous page views and understand which tools are popular — this measures pages visited, not your documents. We do not require an email, account, or sign-in.

Can I use TryDocsy offline?

Yes. Because the tools run in your browser, they keep working without an internet connection after your first visit. This is also the strongest proof that nothing is uploaded — a tool that needed to send your file to a server could not function in airplane mode.

Is it safe to compress or merge confidential PDFs on TryDocsy?

Yes. Confidential contracts, IDs, bank statements, and medical records are safe to process on TryDocsy precisely because they never leave your device. There is no upload step where a file could be intercepted, logged, or retained, which is the main risk with traditional cloud-based converters.

How is TryDocsy different from other free online tools?

Most free converters upload your file to their servers, process it there, and send it back — meaning your document temporarily lives on a machine you do not control. TryDocsy flips this: the processing code runs in your browser, so the file stays with you the entire time. No upload, no server-side copy, no retention.

Why is TryDocsy free if it is this private?

Client-side processing is actually cheaper to run because we do not pay for servers to crunch your files — your own device does the work. That lets us keep every tool free, with no watermarks, no file limits, and no paywall.
