What is and is not carried over
Chapters, headings, paragraphs, cover art and inline PNG/JPEG images are carried over. The EPUB's stylesheets are not applied — the PDF uses its own A4 typography — and GIF, WebP and SVG images cannot be placed in a PDF directly. Anything left out is listed with the result. Latin, Cyrillic, Greek and Devanagari text is supported; other scripts are refused by name rather than converted into blanks.

A critical flaw in naive eBook converters is sorting chapters by internal file names, such as section_01.xhtml or chapter_10.xhtml. Because digital publishers and authoring software like Calibre often assign non-chronological internal file paths, sorting by name scrambles the narrative structure.
Our engine reads the package document (.opf) declared in the EPUB's META-INF/container.xml. By tracing the exact order specified in the spine manifest, chapters appear in their authentic publisher sequence. Each chapter initiates a fresh page headed by its true title rather than arbitrary archive paths.
Handling embedded illustrations, cover art, and external media
Digital books frequently include cover artwork, diagrams, and illustrative plates. Our renderer extracts and embeds all inline PNG and JPEG images directly into the output document, scaling wide figures to preserve page margins.
To uphold strict security and prevent tracking beacons, external images referencing remote web URLs are never fetched across the network. Unsupported vector or animated formats (such as SVG or GIF) are noted in the post-conversion summary rather than causing silent layout failures.
Typography, character set coverage, and local memory security
EPUB CSS stylesheets are intentionally superseded by clean, publication-grade A4 typography using Times Roman and bundled unicode typefaces. The engine supports Latin, Western European, Central European, Cyrillic, Greek, and Devanagari character ranges.
Every phase of decompression, XML parsing, and PDF page construction operates inside your browser's private execution thread. Your downloaded books, personal manuscripts, and confidential reading materials remain strictly confidential on your machine.

Does converting EPUB to PDF keep cover art and photos?
Yes. Cover artwork and inline PNG and JPEG photos are embedded directly on their respective pages. Any skipped assets (such as SVGs or remote web links) are transparently listed in the conversion notes.
Why are my EPUB's custom fonts and CSS styles not applied?
Reflowable e-reader stylesheets often specify fluid font sizes that cause awkward word collisions on physical paper. The converter replaces fluid CSS with calibrated, print-ready A4 typography.
What is the maximum EPUB file size supported?
You can convert EPUB files up to 50 MB. Because processing runs within local browser RAM, very large illustrated textbooks may take a few seconds to lay out.
Can I cancel a long conversion in progress?
Yes. If you convert an extensive multi-volume work, an active progress bar displays the current chapter and provides an immediate Cancel button to abort rendering.
Are my eBooks uploaded to any remote server?
No. The entire conversion pipeline—from JSZip extraction to vector typesetting—runs entirely in your local browser sandbox. Your books are never uploaded or tracked.
Can I convert DRM-protected EPUB files purchased from commercial stores?
No. Books encrypted with proprietary Adobe Adept DRM or Apple FairPlay cannot be decrypted by browser scripts. You must remove DRM in authorized software before conversion.
