Frequently Asked Questions

How do I find my e-Aadhaar PDF password?

UIDAI passwords follow a deterministic rule: the first four letters of your name (as printed on the card) in CAPS plus your 4-digit birth year. For example, 'Ravi Kumar' born in 1990 → password is RAVI1990.

Will my Aadhaar PDF ever be uploaded?

No. TryDocsy runs entirely in your browser. The PDF is decrypted and cropped on your device using WebAssembly. Nothing is sent to any server.

What's the difference between A4 paper and PVC card layouts?

A4 paper stacks both sides on a single sheet — print, cut horizontally, laminate. PVC card produces one full-page per side at ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 dimensions (credit-card size), ready to send to a PVC printer.

Why does my Aadhaar PDF open with a blank page after cropping?

The most common cause is a typo in your name or birth year. Re-check both fields exactly as printed on the card. If the password derivation succeeds but the crop is blank, the source PDF page dimensions may differ from what the cropper expects.

Is this tool free?
