How it works

Issuers have used different schemes over time (date of birth, PAN, or a string printed only in the delivery mail). Because those schemes are not quoted on the official pages above, this guide will not pick one. If decryption fails, the on-screen error is “Failed to process PDF” (or the parser message) — retry the other password from that same email rather than guessing a site-wide rule.
CR80 PVC card standards and printing calibration
A physical Permanent Account Number card conforms to the international ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 standard (widely known as CR80 format). This standard prescribes a width of 85.60 mm (3.370 inches), a height of 53.98 mm (2.125 inches), and a corner radius of 3.18 mm.
