Frequently Asked Questions

What is my e-PAN PDF password?

e-PAN PDFs from the Income Tax Department are password-protected. The password is usually your 10-character PAN number itself (e.g. ABCDE1234F). Some older PDFs use PAN + DOB. Try your PAN first; if it fails, try PAN + your date of birth.

Will my PAN PDF ever be uploaded?

No. TryDocsy runs entirely in your browser. The PDF is decrypted and cropped on your device. Nothing is sent to any server.

What's the difference between A4 paper and PVC card layouts?

A4 paper stacks both sides on a single sheet — print, cut horizontally, laminate. PVC card produces one full-page per side at ISO/IEC 7810 ID-1 dimensions (credit-card size), ready to send to a PVC printer.

Why does my PAN PDF open with a blank page after cropping?

Most often a wrong password. The PDF format varies by issuing year, so the password might be PAN-only, PAN+DOB, or PAN+name. Try the variants in that order.
