NDA Photo Size Requirements
The National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by UPSC for admission to the Army, Navy, and Air Force wings of the NDA. Candidates apply on the UPSC online portal, whose One Time Registration FAQ asks for the photograph in JPG format, 20KB to 300KB, with a resolution from 350×350 pixels minimum to 1000×1000 pixels maximum; it gives no size in cm and no DPI. The background must be plain white with your face clearly visible. Our free NDA photo resizer uses 413×531 pixels, our own choice inside that range (it equals 3.5×4.5 cm at 300 DPI), and keeps the file within 20–300KB. For the signature, the same FAQ asks for a JPG/JPEG between 20KB and 300KB in the same pixel range, signed on white paper, preferably with a black ink pen. Our signature preset uses 700×350 pixels, a 2:1 canvas inside that range.
